70-year-old man charged with aggravated assault family violence after shooting his 75-year-old wife at their residence on Alandale Drive
Macon, GA – Officials said that this unfortunate incident occurred around 4:51 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
It happened in the 2700 block of Alandale Drive.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance call.
The responding deputies discovered that 70-year-old Eddie Williams and his 75-year-old wife got into an argument at their residence on Alandale Drive.
During the argument Eddie retrieved a firearm and shot his wife one time. Eddie then surrendered to deputies upon their arrival.
His wife was transported to Atrium Health and is listed in critical but stable condition at this time. No one else was injured during the incident.
Eddie was transported to the Bibb County jail and charged with Aggravated Assault Family Violence. He is being held without bond at this time.
