Woman with ‘large bag of heroin’ found parked on Macon sidewalk, asleep in truck

Bibb County deputies arrested a woman for trafficking heroin after she was found slumped over the steering wheel of her truck parked on the sidewalk of Bowman Rd.

According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Hailey Erin Vitaglinao, of Pooler, Georgia, is charged with trafficking heroin and is being held without bond in the Bibb County Jail.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of DePoe Eye Center at 5451 Bowman Road Monday around 7:11 a.m.

The officers found Vitaglianao asleep behind the wheel. When they woke her up to make sure she was okay, Vitaglianao began to slur her words and didn’t know where she was.

According to the sheriff’s office, Vitaglianao told officers she’d been traveling from Augusta to Savannah and didn’t know how she got to Macon. A search of her truck revealed a “large bag of heroin” containing over four grams.
