Georgia Civic Awareness Program for Students had two field trips last month, officials say
Macon, GA – According to the statement, the first trip happened on Thursday, April 6 where they went to Lake Tobesofkee’s Sandy Beach Park.
The Georgia Civic Awareness Program for Students members learned about the operation of the recreational facility and the Bibb County Cooperative Extension Program, which helps members in our community become healthier, more productive, financially independent.
The Cooperative Extension has been instrumental in our Gardens at Brookdale initiative.
On April 24 students went to on one of their final educational trips to our State Capitol and Federal Reserve Bank.
They got the opportunity to meet and talk to state leaders and learn more about how the government works at a state level.
At the Reserve Bank, students saw something that blew their minds – thousands of dollars being shred in tiny pieces.
