BCSO: 19-year-old dad arrested, faces a charge of murder in connection with the death of his 1-year-old daughter
Macon, GA – According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance within the 3800 block of Flamingo Drive after a call was made to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center.
Deputies arrived and discovered a female, later identified as Janet Dorn, injured from a violent physical altercation.
Also present was the victim’s daughter Shandrea Spencer, who called to report the incident. Paramedics responded to the scene to treat the victim for injuries sustained.
The victim reported that her daughter’s child had been taken by the man who assaulted her, who is also the father of the child.
Shortly after, authorities received information on the location of the two persons of interest linked to the incident that occurred on Flamingo Drive.
Deputies and Investigators responded to the 2000 block of Old Clinton Road and made contact with both subjects who had an unresponsive one-year-old child in their possession.
Both men were transported to Investigations Headquarters to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The first person of interest was identified as 19-year-old Akiem Jordan. Akiem Jordan is the father of the deceased one-year-old child.
The second person of interest was identified as twenty-year-old Rahem Ferrell.
Rahem Ferrell faces charges of Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Akiem Jordan faces a charge of Murder in connection with the death of his one-year-old daughter.
He also faces three counts of Aggravated Assault. Both are being held without bond.
