Macon-Bibb County Commissioner and community partners spread holiday cheer with Santa Spotting
Macon, GA – Macon-Bibb County District 2 Commissioner Paul Bronson, alongside the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Macon Mental Health Matters, and other local organizations, brought holiday magic to neighborhoods across Macon-Bibb County.
The festive event featured Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch traveling through the community, spreading joy to children and adults alike. Commissioner Bronson emphasized the importance of creating moments of happiness during the holiday season. “Everyone deserves those moments of joy that we all get during the holiday season, and we wanted to help bring one of those moments to children around the county,” he said.
Andrea Cooke of Macon Mental Health Matters, dressed as Mrs. Claus, shared her enthusiasm for the initiative. “We had an amazing time spreading joy and kindness through the streets of Macon-Bibb! The honking horns by adults and waves from children reminded me of the reason for the season,” she said. “There’s so much good in our community, and we love seeing it!”
One particularly heartwarming moment occurred at the Brookdale Resource Center, where two young girls jumped and squealed with delight as they spotted Santa atop the Fire Department’s ladder truck. The public safety escort added to the excitement, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Santa Spotting, an initiative started by Commissioner Bronson several years ago, continues to bring smiles and holiday spirit to the Macon-Bibb County community.
