A woman is dead after a fire in Macon

Macon, GA – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday morning.

It happened at 3138 Brookwood Drive. It’s a duplex and the fire only affected one unit.

The first responders took 59-year-old Rebecca Young to Navicent but doctors pronounced her dead around.

The 59-year-old woman died of smoke inhalation.
