Arson suspected at house fire on Gordon Street in Macon

A house fire has broken out on 346 Gordon Street in Macon around 7:00 p.m.

Investigator Ben Gleaton confirms it was a vacant structure and this is about the third time within the last few years that the property has suffered fire damage.

Gleaton says investigators are looking into this as arson is suspected at this time.

The backside of the home is completely destroyed due to the fire.

The area is blocked off from Gordon Street to Ernest Street.

The house appears to be abandoned.

No reports indicate that anyone lived in the residence or there are any injuries being reported.
