Authorities investigating fatal pedestrian traffic collision on Mercer University Drive at Bloomfield Road

Macon, GA – According to the BCSO officials, the fatal incident occurred around 8:41 p.m. 

The responding deputies discovered that the 67-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Mercer University Drive at Bloomfield Road.

The suspect’s vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old male, was traveling west on Mercer University Drive when it struck a female pedestrian in the right lane.

The female pedestrian was transported to Atrium Health where she was pronounced deceased by staff. No one else was injured in the collision.
