Bibb County deputy is being praised for his quick thinking after he saved a baby who was choking

Macon, GA – According to the statement, tThis unfortunate incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday on Ponce de Leon Circle in Bibb County.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a report of an unresponsive baby and arrived to find 5-week-old Stoni Edwards “not breathing” and “turning red in the face.

Realizing that something was blocking the child’s airway, Washington sprang into action, turning the baby over and giving several palm blows to the infant’s back.

After that the baby started to breathe. Thank you Sgt. Reginald Washington.
