Bibb County Sheriff’s Office crime lab hosts Mount de Sales Academy forensic science class

Macon, GA – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab recently hosted a forensic science class from Mount de Sales Academy, giving students an inside look at investigative techniques used in real cases.
During the visit, Sgt. Roy Williams, Investigator Aaron Miller, Latent Print Examiner Jamie Cribb-Grimes, and Captain Fred Carmical spoke with the class about several key areas of forensic work.
The group provided demonstrations and explanations covering digital forensics, the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN), and fingerprint analysis.
Students had the opportunity to learn how technology and scientific methods are applied in criminal investigations, as well as how evidence is collected and analyzed in the lab.
The visit helped give students a better understanding of careers in forensic science and the role the Crime Lab plays in supporting law enforcement efforts.
