Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigating fatal shooting on Williams Street

Macon, GA – According to the BCSO, the fatal shooting occurred around 2:07 a.m. early Monday morning.

It happened in the 600 block of Williams Street.

Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shooting clal.

When the deputies arrived on scene, they located 16-year-old Derrick Putmon unresponsive on the sidewalk.

He was pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley on the scene.

No one else was injured during the incident.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
