Frank Johnson Recreation Center collecting food donations for annual holiday drive

Macon, GA – The Frank Johnson Recreation Center has launched its annual food drive, seeking community support to help those in need this holiday season. Donations of non-perishable food items, especially dry goods like macaroni and spaghetti, will be accepted through December 15.

Contributions can be dropped off at the center, located at 2227 Mercer University Drive, during the following hours:
– Monday through Friday: 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
– Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The collected items will be donated to Loaves and Fishes and Depaul USA Daybreak, organizations known for their commitment to community outreach.

“We chose these organizations because of their on-going need for food items coupled with their specialty in community outreach,” said Miranda Brooks from the Frank Johnson Recreation Center.

Residents are encouraged to contribute and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate during this holiday season.
