Macon, GA – According to the statement, Gov. Kemp thanked the communities in each location for their help in helping create the mass vaccination sites.
Governor Kemp said:
“To spearhead our efforts to ensure access among minority communities all four sites will be strategically located to those underserved populations. Our goal is for these sites to administer 22,000 vaccines per week between all four, again with the ability to increase that capacity once the supply expands.”
The mass vaccination sites will open on Monday, February 22.
The sites will be self-sustained with storage, staffing, and security. The locations for some of these sites allow us to target some of the communities that have been hit hardest by COVID-19.
