Macon is recognized as 1 of 155 tree cities of the world

Macon, GA – Macon-Bibb Parks and Beautification, Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful and other local organizations celebrated by planting several different trees at Poplar Street Park.

According to the statement, trees include three Eagleston Hollies, two Higan Cherries and three Nuttall Oaks.

All Macon residents should be proud of its accomplishment.

There are 155 other tree cities. Some of them are much newer, and younger in their tree city journey.
