Macon man kills himself after standoff with deputies

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says a man fatally shot himself during a standoff with deputies.

Bibb County deputies assisted the Peach County Sheriff’s Office in serving a warrant in reference to two aggravated stalking incidents on Markingham Drive in Macon Thursday night.

Reports say Bibb County deputies were contacted by Peach County Sheriff’s Office in reference to the incidents that had occurred earlier Thursday in Peach County. Peach County asked Bibb County to assist with serving their warrant for aggravated stalking, along with Bibb County’s warrant for aggravated stalking, according to a release.
