Man tries to steal almost $100 worth of Tide Pods in Macon Kroger

Bibb County deputies responded to the Kroger on North Avenue after a man attempted to steal nearly $100 worth of Tide Pods.

A witness working for loss prevention at Kroger saw a man placing several containers of Tide Pods into his clothing.

The man was identified as Dan Anderson who had a previous extensive history of shoplifting.

The witness confronted Anderson and recovered $99.93 worth of Tide Pods.

The employee states that he wants Anderson banned from the store’s location indefinitely. A criminal trespass form was completed and Anderson is no longer allowed on the property.

Deputies report that Anderson was charged with felony theft by shoplifting.
