Scouting the Eagles
Georgia Southern is off to a 5-2 start this season with their only losses being to 27th-ranked Texas A&M and unranked Florida Gulf Coast.
Four Eagles have recorded at least four wins in singles action. Nadja Meier is a team-best 6-1 overall and is a perfect 2-0 in the No. 1 position with a 4-1 mark at No. 2. Paula Hijos has gone 5-2 in the spring in the No. 5 flight, while Charlotte van Diemen is 4-0 with a pair of wins at No. 3 and No. 4. As a team, Georgia Southern is 28-14 in singles play.
The Eagles are still searching for the right combination in doubles matches as evidenced by the nine different pairings through seven contests. Despite that fact, the Eagles are 12-8 in doubles matches. Meier and Hannah Daniel have a team-high three wins.
