Ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the opening of a new 50-bed dorm on the property of the existing Bacon Probation Detention Center/Transitional Center in Alma

Macon, GA – According to the statement, the addition will increase the TC’s current capacity to 100 male residents.

Bacon TC boasts a 100% employment rate for residents, and provides programs such as OSHA 10 training and Employer Expectations through a partnership with Wiregrass Technical College.

Commissioner Tyrone Oliver released the following statement:

 “We are thankful for the community partnerships that have assisted in the culmination of this day.

We are proud and excited for the opportunity to be a part of the economic growth within the county and provide tools and resources for the TC residents as they complete their path to becoming productive citizens.”
