Shooting on Montpelier Avenue sends 30-year-old man to the hospital with serious injuries

Macon, GA – According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, this incident occurred right before midnight on June 9, 2023.

BCSO deputies responded to a shooting call.

The responding deputies discovered that a 30-year-old male was standing in the parking lot of 2760 Montpelier Avenue when shots were fired.

The victim was struck in the leg. He was transported to Atrium Health and is listed in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the incident.

Investigators are looking into what lead up to the shooting.
