The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies make an arrest in connection with an aggravated assault investigation

Macon, GA – According to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at a residence within the 3800 block of Log Cabin Drive.

The call for assistance came into the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center on April 21, 2024, at 11:37 a.m…

Patrol Deputies and the Macon-Bibb Fire Department responded to the scene in reference to an altercation.

When first responders arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old female outside of the residence with gasoline poured on her clothing, and on her face.

It was also discovered that there had been a fire set inside the residence.

The fire was extinguished properly, and paramedics arrived to treat the victim.

No one else was harmed during the incident.

The victim was cleared by paramedics on the scene.

After further investigation, 53-year-old Kimberly Brooks was identified as the suspect in connection to the incident.

Brooks was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Kimberly Brooks was charged with Aggravated Assault and First Degree Arson.
