The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Medical Office Building to assist Atrium Health Navicent Police with an armed subject who barricaded himself inside a restroom

Macon, GA – BCSO officials said that after several hours of negotiating with the subject to remove him safely from the restroom, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team began to make entry. 

On January 18, 2024, at 12:45 a.m., the subject took his own life.

The armed subject was identified as Christopher Valentine. Christopher Valentine was forty-nine years old.

According to Coroner Leon Jones, the next of kin has been notified.
