The Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department’s All-Star Basketball Team took home medals and a trophy after winning the GRPA Class “A” 8 & Under State Championship

Macon, GA – According to the city officials, the team reportedly competed against eight teams in Tucker, GA the weekend of March 3-4.

They defeated 4 teams with a win over Savannah, GA, who was defending Champion, to capture the GRPA Class “A” 8 & Under State Championship. 

The team was recognized by Mayor Lester Miller and the Commission at Tuesday night’s Commission Meeting. 

Recreation Department Director Walker said:

“We are so proud of this team and their coaches for their commitment to the sport. They worked really hard to deserve the win.”
