The Middle Georgia Regional Commission has officially opened its new offices in the Macon Mall, a landmark that began its operations in 1975 and is currently undergoing a major rejuvenation

Macon, GA – According to the statement, this strategic move marks a significant development in the Commission’s efforts to enhance functionality and foster collaboration.

The relocation to the Macon Mall involved close collaboration with Macon-Bibb County and a dedicated architectural team. The newly designed space features a layout that promotes teamwork and effective communication among employees.

The integration of advanced technology and modern facilities is expected to boost operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

The revitalization of Macon Mall includes not only the new offices but also several exciting additions. The Rhythm and Rally, recognized as the world’s largest indoor pickleball facility, has become a major attraction.

The recently inaugurated 10,000+ person Atrium Health Amphitheater and other new government offices—such as the Board of Elections, Planning & Zoning, an annex for the Middle Georgia Regional Library, Building & Fire Safety, and the Mayor’s Literacy Alliance—are also part of the mall’s transformation.

These new features and offices have already drawn tens of thousands of visitors from across the county, state, and nation. They come for a variety of reasons, including participating in national tournaments, attending concerts, casting votes, and engaging with new business opportunities. The ongoing redevelopment of Macon Mall continues to enhance its role as a central hub for community and regional activities.
