Macon, GA – The SA (Salvation Army) collected toys on a 3-day drive-thru event and now they’re distributing the toys. The best thing about the drive-thru is that it allows you to do a contactless pick up. Recipients drive up and tell a volunteer their assigned number. Volunteers inside then pick up the toys in that specific box and bring them out to the car.
According to the statement, they had more than 1100 Angels this year, with around 750 adopted. The Salvation Army though, makes sure every Angel gets gifts under the tree for Christmas even if they weren’t adopted.
And, one last thing – the Red Kettle program is still going on this month. Major Rebekah Poole said they’re close the goal of $100,000 collected.
