Bibb County poll workers get PPE for November election

Bibb County poll workers will receive personal protective equipment for the November election.

Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger teamed up to grant the county’s request.

Election officials asked for PPE to keep workers and voters safe. The wish list included hand sanitizer, masks, face shields, gloves, and disinfectant wipes. GEMA has accepted the request, and will ship the requested items directly to Macon-Bibb County.

In a news release from the Secretary of State’s office, Raffensperger says,

“In-person voting remains an important way for Georgia voters to access the ballot. So, I am doing whatever I can to make that experience safe and easy,”
