A Macon resident was hit by a car on Monday night on Houston Road

Macon, GA – According to the police report, this accident occurred on Houston Road near its intersection with Allen Road. The witnesses have reported that a man was driving north on Houston Road in the left lane just before 11 p.m. when he saw another man standing in the road and tried to avoid hitting him.

The man, 30-year-old Shadow Jack Horn, was taken to Navicent Health in Macon by ambulance and he was currently listed in critical condition. But, unfortunately, the Bibb County Coroner, Leon Jones, has reported that Horn later died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the driver was not hurt. This is the 11th pedestrian death of the year. This accident is under investigation and the sheriff’s office says no charges have been filed against the driver.
