Macon-Bibb County Fire Department celebrates graduation of 14 new firefighters

Macon, GA – The Macon-Bibb County Fire Department recently celebrated the graduation of 14 new firefighters at Central Georgia Technical College.

The ceremony, which included a presentation of colors and the National Anthem sung by Princess Eleanor Rogers, marked the recruits’ official induction into the team.

Fire Chief Shane Edwards expressed pride in the graduates, stating, “These recruits have proven they have what it takes to protect and serve our community,” and emphasized the importance of teamwork.

“You’re part of the family now. There is a brotherhood and sisterhood in this organization like no other.”

Each firefighter took the oath of office, officially joining the department.
