The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit arrested two individuals for guns and drugs

Macon, GA – According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, investigators received information that there were illegal drugs and guns at a residence that is located on Brigham Street.

The responding deputies arrived at the residence to check out the complaint.

They made contact with a female that attempted to walk away from the residence, as they approached. While speaking with that female, a strong odor of marijuana emitted from her person.

The female was found to be in possession of several marijuana blunts and a quantity of methamphetamines. The female was taken into custody.

As investigators knocked on the door and spoke with a female that lives at the home, a male pulled up in a Dodge Charger.

The male had a marijuana blunt on his person and investigators located over 1.2 pounds of marijuana and two firearms in his vehicle.

One of the firearm’s serial number was scratched off.

The two individuals that were taken into custody are,  33-year-old Benjamin Tipton and 38-year-old Christian Kuntz. 

Tipton is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and ( two counts ) of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

Kuntz is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Possession of Methamphetamines.
